North
Charleston
Incorporated in 1972, North Charleston is the third largest city in South Carolina, and has been the state's retail sales leader for almost a decade. The city plays a major role as a business and transportation center. Access to North Charleston is convenient with all modes of transportation. Its pivotal location in the tri-county area has earned the city its reputation as the
Hub of the Lowcountry. The Charleston International Airport, Amtrak, Greyhound, Interstate Highway 26 (I-26) and the Mark Clark Expressway (I-526) pass through North Charleston, enabling visitors to arrive and depart with ease. Depending on one's travel, Chicago can be reached without a stoplight. Exciting new growth is happening in the business arena, in entertainment and recreational facility development, and in residential communities. New construction is complementing older, more traditional businesses and neighborhoods. The old and the new of North Charleston are harmoniously residing, producing a growing quality of life. Residents are proud to call North Charleston home, and welcome our visitors.
